Since 2011, there have been 11 projectors highlighting a variety of Montreal architectural landmarks. These projectors were driven by Xenon servers that ran year-round in a city where temperatures ranged from -40 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Reliability, ease of calibration, and remote operation were key factors in the project’s success. Web-based content management was essential to allow a variety of artists to make content changes for scheduled and special events.
VYV was also able to provide projection study reports that allowed the Quartier des Spectacles to make the right choices when it came to deciding on the recommended number of projectors, their positions, their lens and resolution settings, and any format specifications.
